Hovingham Village Market
Join me at Hovingham Village Market on Saturday 1st August 2026, where there will be a selection of my work for sale, including original artwork and wearable artwear.
Focusing on traditional feltmaking techniques, my work combines art with a love for making wearable useable items, embracing working with fibre I find transforming a sheep’s fleece into fabric endlessly fascinating.
Defined by strong colour combinations and colour blends using hand dyed wool, silks and hand spun yarns adding fine detail my work is characteristic of artisan felted work.

The Hovingham Village Market has been running since October 2009, although the first Market in Hovingham predates this and was opened around 1256. Hovingham is located about 18 miles north-east of York, 8 miles between the market towns of Malton and Helmsley on the B1257.
The Hovingham Village Market is run by village volunteers to provide a monthly market for this and the neighbouring area. It is run on the first Saturday of each month, from February to December, and an additional special Christmas Market on the third Saturday of December. They champion local producers together with our Community.
