York River Art Market

Join me at York River Art Market on Saturday 10th August 2024 for a weekend of local art. There will be a selection of my work for sale, including original artwork and artisan art wear.

A celebration of Local Artists and Makers, unique and original art and handcrafted goods will be on sale.

York River Art Market is a unique, award winning, open air Arts market. YRAM’s relaxed and vibrant atmosphere has been compared to Left Bank in Paris. It is free of charge to come along and you can browse/buy directly from an array of Yorkshire based artists. Meander along the riverside walkway where you will find over 30 x different artists exhibiting their work along the railings. There is also an ice cream boat and lots of restaurants and bars in the city, alternatively enjoy a picnic beside the river or in the Museum Gardens.

YRAM hosts a broad range of artists and makers. Expect to find ceramics, jewellery, paintings, prints, photographs, textiles and much more. There are 6 events held over 3 weekends in August, each is never the same, there are a different variety of creatives at each event

Focusing on traditional feltmaking techniques, my work combines art with a love for making wearable useable items, embracing the dexterity of working with fibre I find transforming a sheep’s fleece into fabric endlessly fascinating.

Defined by strong colour combinations and colour blends using hand dyed wool, silks and hand spun yarns adding fine detail my work is characteristic of artisan felted work.

All work is of a very high standard and affordably priced, there will be something for everybody, and for all budgets.
